5. Transnational Project Meeting
Locale: Hungary
Date: 15-17 November 2022
Finally in person again!
The pandemic is raging, but we managed to play it out a little… According to the original plans, we would have met in Romania, but the situation there is even worse, so we chose Hungary.
There are project partners whom we see for the first time in person, even though the project has been running for two years. They had not yet worked on the project during the time of the first Transnational Meeting when we met in Porto in 2019.
So, we are glad, not to speak about the fact how much easier it is to work together this way than in countless online meetings.
We sit in masks, at a decent distance from each other, practically alone in the “Szeglet”, in the community place of Salva Foundation.
Due to the pandemic, all personal meetings with Salva’s clients had to be suspended, the employees work from home.
The field visit is a presentation now, with various photos and stories about how the foundation supports disabled people with its great variety of programs, e.g. with its Supported Employment program which provides tailored-to-the needs support for both the employers and those looking for a job. or with its comprehensive service program for employers, which helps employers to understand what needs to change if disabled people are to be treated fairly. The foundation regularly holds Disability Awareness Trainings for executives, HR experts, and provides overall recruitment services for employers. One of its important activities is helping people with disabilities live independently.
There are many questions, it’s good to finally meet and talk in person, though we have secret, hidden points, but only in closed space.
